- Association of Inventors and Innovators of Iran awarded The Honour Diploma to Dr. Shiravani’s research project, “Design and construction of controlled seal of rotary drums in chemical industries”.
- Dr. Alavi’s article, called “Tetragonal nanocrystalline zirconia powder with high surface area and mesoporous structure”, was chosen as one of the 25 selected articles in “Powder Technology” journal.
- Dr. Alavi’s article, called “Syngas Production by Methane Reforming with Carbon Dioxide on Noble Metal Catalysts”, was chosen as one of the 25 best articles in “Natural Gas Chemistry” journal.
- Dr. Farzaneh Feyzi’s article, called “Assessment of termodynamic properties of liquid argone by the simulation of molecular dynamics”, was selected as the best article in The Twelfth National Congress of Chemical Engineering at Tabriz.
- Dr. Seyed Hasan Hashemabadi, called “CFD simulation of freeze drying of gelatin”, was selected as the best article in The Twelfth National Congress of Chemical Engineering at Tabriz.

- “Dry catalist reforming and the process of coke formation”, a research project supervised by Dr. Seyed Mahdi Alavi, Dr. Mehran Reza’ii, and Dr. Sa’iid Sahebdel Far won the third degree of Basic Researches in The Ninth Javan Kharazmi Festival.
- Mr. Amir Saffar and Ms. Mahraaz Behboud susccessfully passed the semifinal stage of The National Scientific Student Olympiad and entered the final stage.
