چکیده:
Today, re-reading and reviving at the central parts of cities and their relationship with other parts of the city to strengthen the historical identity and values embedded in it has become a significant issue in the planning and design of city centres. In many cities, historic centers have lost their former identity, and buildings that played a central role in the city center have moved out of the realm of vitality-related activities. This study aims to identify and decode the language of urban design in the years between 1304 to 1320 and is based on emerging civic concepts in urban spaces in the centers of the main cities of the Tehran-North railway. This comparative case study using a historical narrative approach has analyzed the information obtained from documents and field perceptions to achieve the language of urban design to explain the ideas of recreation in today's conditions. The results show that attention to railways, squares and streets in the spatial arrangement as well as the design of civic buildings is one of the key principles of design to transform the traditional to the quasi-modern system. Finally, 32principles based on the special urban design language in this period were extracted in 8 dimensions of the building pattern.
