IUST and Al-Ayen University of Iraq Sign MoU to Expand Academic Cooperation

In line with its efforts to strengthen international academic partnerships, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Ayen University of Iraq. The agreement was formalized on Thursday, May 15, 2025, during an official visit by an IUST delegation to the city of Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Province, Republic of Iraq.

As part of this visit, Dr. Reza Golshan Khavs, Director of the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation, and Dr. Asghar Habibnejad, Director of Education at IUST, toured the educational and research facilities of Al-Ayen University and held a series of discussions with university officials. These talks culminated in the signing of a formal MoU aimed at fostering mutual academic and research advancement.
 

Under the terms of the agreement, the two institutions will collaborate in several key areas including faculty exchange, joint postgraduate programs, co-supervision of theses, scholarly publications.
This MoU marks a significant step toward deeper academic collaboration between Iran and Iraq, paving the way for joint educational, research, and technological initiatives in the years to come.
