:: Project overview ::

Veresk is a 70 years old masonry arch bridge located on Km 208+895 of Iranian railway network. The bridge consists of unreinforced concrete blocks, and has a main span of 66 meters. The bridge accomodates a single track, with an allowable axle load and speed of 20 tons and 60 Km/h, respectively. Long service life of the structure and a demand for increasing the allowable axle load of the bridge, required structural assessment of Veresk. Visual inspection, material tests, numerical modeling and dynamic load tests are carried out to get a clearer image of the structure.
