Objectives and Areas of Expertise:
Publishment of the latest research results is dedicated to all aspects of flow measurement, in closed and open channels. The design of flow measurement systems involves a wide range of multidisciplinary activities, including flow sensor modeling and the investigation of sensor and fluid interactions through the use of computational techniques. Other goals of the journal will be to develop advanced transducer systems and their associated signal processing and laboratory and experimental evaluation of the overall system under ideal and turbulent conditions. The following is a more detailed classification of the scientific fields of the journal is needed:
Modeling: Using mathematical and computational modeling for fluid dynamics interactions with flowmeters, including flowmeter behavior, improved flowmeter design and installation problems, calibration & proving systems. Interactions analysis of fluid and solid for all measuring systems. Using CAD / CAE techniques as well as CFD for flowmeter modeling.
Simulation: Simulation of different elements of flow measurement systems for performance analysis and design optimization. Applications of CFD and smart simulation in flow metering (single and multiphase flow measurement).
Design and Development: Accurate design of the flowmeter head and / or signal processing aspects of the new flowmeters. Emphasis is on papers identifying new sensor, current multi-sensor measurement systems, non-invasive measurement techniques, and the application of microelectronic techniques to smart data systems.
Smart Measurement Techniques: Topics related to Digital Meter Development, Data Transfer, Intelligent Technologies, Data Analytics & Mining, Software Development, and Smart Grid Development.
Calibration Techniques: Including new features of calibration facilities and new techniques, calibration data for different types of flow meters and calibration comparison data from various laboratories.
Installation Impact Data: Investigations the effect of non-ideal flow conditions on the flow meter. The main priority with papers is to combine theoretical understanding of the behavior with experimental work or field study.
Multiphase Flowmeters: Hard & Soft Sensors design, adapted from single-phase performance, covering systems for liquid and gas flows, multi-phase flows with solid phases, liquids and gases, slurry and pastes and Calibration systems of Multiphase Meters.
Successes in solving of measuring system problems: The Journal welcomes industry experiences to solve the problem
