A high-level academic German delegation visited IUST On Monday, September 15, 2014 a high ranked delegation from Germany visited Iran University of Science and Technology. The delegation was composed of president of University of Applied Science Rhein-Waal, rector of RWTH (University of Achen), Rector of University of Rostock, President of Technical University of Darmstadt, President of Justus-Liebig- University of Gießen, First Director of Orient Institute Istanbul, and faculty members of these universities and also Delegation from German Academic Exchange Service composed of President, Vice-president, Head of Section Office of the Executive Committee and Senior Management, Head of Section Iran, Director of DAAD Information Center, Tehran.
The delegation had a session with IUST administrators and faculty member including Dr. Barkhordari, Chancellor of IUST, Advisor to the Chancellor and Director of the Office of the Chancellor and Public Relations, Director of International and Scientific Cooperation, vice- chancellor for research and technology, Vice Chancellor for Education, Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, directors of some offices such as Industrial and Scientific Cooperation, Public Relations, Graduate Studies, also the of Dean of E-learning Center, Head of Iran Composite Institute at IUST, the deans of the Schools of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and faculty members from Schools of Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Design.
In the session after IUST Chancellor’s speeches, brief information about IUST was provided. The German delegation presented their activities and the grounds for mutual cooperation.
After the session the delegation visited the IUST Neural Technology Research Center and Iran Composites Institute at IUST.
