In the presence of two CEOs and IUST's Chancellor: An MOU towards the National Rail Production was signed A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Islamic Republic of Iran's Railway Company, Isfahan's Steel Company, and Iran University of Science and Technology during the third International Conference on Recent Advances in Railway Engineering. Among those present include deputies of the Roads and Urban Development and the Mine and Trade Industry. The MOU was signed, in line with developing the country's railway transportation policies, by Engineer Abdol Ali Saheb Mohammadi, CEO to the Islamic Republic of Iran's Railway Company, Dr. Ardeshir Sa'd Mohammadi, CEO to Isfahan's Steel Company, and Dr. Mohammad Saeed JebelAmeli, IUST Chancellor. From here on, with cooperation from Iran's Railway Company, Isfahan's Steel Company, and IUST the required rails for the country's railway lines will be produced in Iran, marking substantial savings for the nation's foreign exchange policies. The ICRAR conference was held Tuesday April 30th 2013 and Wednesday May 1st with the presence of Engineer Mr. Ali Nikzad, Minister of Transportation and Housing, and Dr. Mehdi Ghazanfari, Minister of Industries and Business. Among others present in the conference include professors, specialists, researchers and the country's transportation supervisors, researchers and eminent scholars in the railway industry from more than 20 countries. It is noteworthy to mention this conference brought about two other MOUs for research projects, research oriented graduate fields, and research laboratory developments between IUST and Iran's Railway Company, and between Iran's Metro Productivity Company and IUST's School of Railway Engineering, both to be signed in the near future. |
