Visit by Ajou University

On Oct. 3, 2012 a delegation from Ajou University, South Korea, headed by Professor Hanjo Lim Vice President of the Ajou University and Dean of the graduate study, visited Iran University of Science and Technology to discuss on mutual interests. The delegation consisted of Dr. Jaejin Lee, Director of the Joint Ajou-KANG (Korea Advanced Nanofab Center) Research Center in Korea, Prof. Sangin Kim, Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prof. Sun-il MHO, Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Prof. Fabian Rotermund, Professor of Department of Physics, Dr. Eun Duck Park, Professor of Department of Physics, and Dr. Seung-Joo Kim, Director of Institute of NT-IT Fusion Technology, and Associate Professor in the division of Energy Systems.
  The discussion session held on the conference hall of the School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. Deans, Deputy Dean’s for Research, and a number of faculty members of the School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering, Department of Chemistry, School of Physics, and Director of the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation attended the session. In the beginning of the session, Director of the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation, briefly introduced the University. Then Ajou delegation introduced their University and relevant Schools. Also the Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering, Deputy Dean for research of the School of Electrical Engineering, Dean of the Department of Chemistry, Director of the Electronic Research Center, and Director of the Center of Excellence for Advanced Ceramics Materials in Energy and Environment Applications introduced their Schools and Departments.
  At the end of the session and with the presence of Professor Baziar, Vice-Chancellor for Research at IUST, some presents and a Memorandum of Understanding that was previously signed by the Chancellor of Iran University of Science and Technology, and President of Ajou University, was exchanged between the two Universities.
  Finally, the delegation visited the laboratories in the School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, and the Electronic Research Center.
