Opening Ceremony for the First Public Conference on Gas-run Turbines The first public conference on gas-run turbines was held on Wednesday, the thirteenth of Ordibehesht, 1391,at the Imam Khomeini (RA) conference room. Many attended including Iran University of Science and Technology’s chancellor, head of the industrial aeronauticsdepartment, minister of science, research and technology, head and research division for the Public Gas company, and a number of professors and expertmechanical engineers. According to Dr. Taqavi, the conference moderator, approximately 130 to 140 full articles were sent to the conference’s secretariat, from which about 75 articles were accepted; 64 articles were presented on posters and 11 articles were presented verbally. In a later part of his speech he mentioned that about 80%of the articles were prepared by current students, while the other 20% were alumni currently working in the Industrial fields. Theconference continued until Thursday afternoon, the fourteenth of Ordibehesht 1391,and was successful covering the following topics: designing aerodynamic turbo cars, analysis of trembling factors, research on advanced materials, and the transfer of heat and combustion. As the finishing touches, this conference ended with an exhibitionpresenting the latest achievements of gas-run turbines and aeronautics Industries. |
