The First European Congress of the IAHR will be held in Edinburgh, UK, from 4th – 6th May 2010. This event will also incorporate the Third International Junior Researcher and Engineer Workshop on Hydraulic Structures (IJREWHS ’10).
The Congress is being jointly organised by Heriot-Watt University and the National Telford Institute, under the auspices of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR). Further details about the Workshop on Hydraulic Structures can be found under the “IJREWHS ‘10” section of this website.
The purpose of the Congress is to share state-of-the-art research findings and experience across the full range of IAHR interests. The Congress will adopt a multi-disciplinary ethos and the technical sessions will be relevant to researchers and professionals interested in expanding their knowledge of fundamental and applied research in the field of hydraulics and related disciplines.
The Congress organising committee is particularly keen to encourage the participation of young researchers, including PhD students and Research Assistants. A special discounted registration fee is available for delegates in these categories, and there will be a prize for the best paper by a young researcher.
