 Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) has a solemn promise to strive for fulfillment of its commitment in growth, excellence, ethical and moral elevation of the human, followed by technical promotion of scholarly learning and science and technology generation.

 Responsibilities and Authorities of the Chancellor:

  · Determining major and corresponding executive policies of the university as in educational and research policies;

  · Monitoring, advising and leading all administrational issues of the university

  · Preparing the university budget proposal and recommending it to the university board of trustees;

  · Superintending all sections of the university in order to keep them orchestrated;

  · Presenting the annual report of university activities to the board of trustees;

  · Deposing and appointing members of the administrative board of the university, deans of departments, educational managers, and related units;

  · Performing ratified laws, instructions, and prescribed letters sanctioned by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology;

  · Proposing the establishment, expansion and dissolution of relevant units of the university;

  · Seeking MOUs with other educational and research centers inside and outside of the country;

  · Representing the university in judicial and related authorities;

  · Supervising the disciplinary affairs of faculty members, students, and personnel of the university in accordance with the university rules and regulations;

  · Being in charge of all financial affairs and office works of the university within the limits of stipulated rules;

  · Presenting I UST juridical proposals to the Ministry of Justice and related authorities.
