School of Civil Engineering of Iran University of Science and Technology is situated at the southwest section of IUST main campus and is one of the most successful instructional and graduate study units at IUST. Dr. Ghodrati is The College's Dean . At present 40 members of full time academic staff are engaged in the College's instructional activities. The College has initiated its activities at graduate level since 1984 and with consider to its quantitative and qualitative development and promising achievements at graduate level, now there are 10 master and 7 Ph.D. fields working for training the experts. The result of these efforts is the compilation of master and Ph.D. theses, of which many have a strong practical and theoretical applications and have been published in the national and international journals. By these accomplishments and along with the outstanding and continuous educational and research activities of the students and faculty members in the various educational levels, the School of Civil Engineering was awarded with 'the eminent School of Civil Engineering in the Country 'title in the year 1992, by the I.R. Iran Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

Meanwhile the number and diversity of the fields of master and Ph.D. programs, and the greatest number of active students at master and Ph.D. levels have given a remarkable standing to the School.
