AWT IMAGEIran University of Science and Technology is committed to advance knowledge and educate students in the different fields of science and technology. IUST admitted its first students in 1932, and has now granted degrees to over 32,000 students.

Currently, the main branch as well as its’one branch in the city of Behshahr, benefit from more than 380 members of the academic board. More than 9,900 students are currently enrolled on the main campus, in specialized fields of engineering and sciences, from which 3030 are in Masters programs, and 670 are Ph.D students.

IUST’s fourteen schools and departments located on the main campus, northeast of Tehran, extend to 42 acres, and encompass numerous degree programs, laboratories, a main library, residential halls, mosque, administrative buildings, sport arenas, and especially a beautiful scenery where students can pursue their education in a comforting environment.

On Monday, September 15, 2014 a high ranked delegation from Germany visited Iran University of Science and Technology. The delegation was composed of president of University of Applied Science Rhein-Waal, rector of RWTH (University of Achen), Rector of University of Rostock, President of Technical University of Darmstadt, President of Justus-Liebig- University of Gießen, First Director of Orient Institute Istanbul, and faculty members of these universities and also Delegation from German Academic Exchange Service composed of President, Vice-president, Head of Section Office of the Executive Committee and Senior Management, Head of Section Iran, Director of DAAD Information Center, Tehran.

AWT IMAGEA delegation of authorities including Head of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Railway visited the School of Railway Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology on Monday June 23, 2014. The visit held in the conference hall of the School with the presence of the Dean and faculty members.

  With the coordination made by the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation a delegation from University of Malaya, Malaysia, including Prof. Dr. Saad Mekhilef, acting deputy dean (higher degree) of faculty of engineering, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Moghavvemi, professor of department of electrical engineering, and Mrs. Shahzatul Ermiza Johol, assistant registrar of University of Malaya visited Iran University of Science and Technology on Aug. 26, 2013 to discuss mutual interests.
