Abstract

Abstract: Innovations, commercialized by new or old established firms, located at the core of industrial renewal process. The innovation concept has suffered transformations, along with the evolution of the models that try to explain and understand the innovation process. The innovative process corresponds to all activities that generate technological changes and the dynamic interaction between them, not necessarily being novelties. Linier model, Chain-Linked Model and National Innovation Systems (NIS) Approach, are three models that have developed for innovation process. Innovation process can be viewed as evolutionary process. One can recognize some mechanism for innovation evolution. These are grouped into two classes those that increase configurations variation and those that decrease it. Emergence of knowledge, knowledge flow and recombination are the mechanism to increase variation of configuration. Internal and external selections are the mechanism to selecting. Innovation operators are evolutionary operators that create new combinations of configuration and increase variation. This paper develops an evolutionary cycle in innovation process and extends evolutionary mechanisms of innovation.

Abstract

This paper presents a normative balance mathematical model of regional economy that contains a lot of unspecified parameters which are not defined directly by the data of economic statistics. A method for estimation of the model parameters by application of parallel computations on multi-processors systems is presented. It is determined the unknown parameters of economic model by indirect way, comparing time series for macro indexes calculated by model with statistical time series for these indexes. Use of the method is illustrated by the parameter estimation of a macroeconomic regional model by statistical data of Vyatka Region of Russia. The each production sector shadow money stock grows due to sale of shadow final product to households and as intermediate product to other sectors. Identified model is used for estimation of the Regional Government economic politics.

Abstract

Today’s world economy situation forces enterprise organizations toward more soft and flexible organization, management, and production processes. They need to explore the most suitable Knowledge Management (KM) tool not only to identify gaps and overlaps but also to maintain and support innovation cross organizations. In this study, a multiple-experts-multiple-criteria decision making model is developed to select the most appropriate set of KM tools to support the innovation processes in organizations. Also, the model aims to suggest conditions for the improvement of KM in different types of knowledge-based inter-organizational collaborations. The application of the model is demonstrated by an illustrative example.

Abstract

In this research we have presented a local model for implementing systems engineering activities in optimized acquisition of electronic systems in Electronic High-Tech Industrial. In this regard, after reviewing the literature and the use of documents, articles and Latin books, we have collected system acquisition life cycle models from different resources. after considering the criteria of the mentioned industry, we have designed two questionnaires and distributed them among some experts of industry and university. The Population studied here were all of the specialists of mentioned industry and our sample consist of 17 experts in this field. As the main focus of this research is on experts’ opinions, we used purposive sampling. Finally, we present local model using the results of the questionnaires and considering the standards, requirements and system engineering processes during system acquisition stages and then match them with our case study. this research includes some innovations such as: flexibility of model under different conditions, choosing the appropriate positions for applying systems engineering reviews, and also the use of foresight issue in the initial phase of model, which have been neglected in other presented models in previous researches.

Abstract

Innovation & Prosperity Fund (IPfund) in Iran as a governmental organization aims to develop new technology-based firms (NTBF) by its available resources through financing these firms. The innovative projects which refer to IPfund for financing are in a stage which can receive both fixed rate facilities and partnership in the projects, i.e. profit loss sharing (PLS). Since this fund must protect its initial and real value of its capital against inflation rate, therefore, this study aims to examine the suitable financing methods with considering risk. For this purpose we study on risk assessment models to see how to use risk adjusted net present value for knowledge based projects. On this basis, the NPV of a project has been analyzed by taking into account the risk variables (sales revenue and the cost of fixed investment) and using Monte Carlo simulation. The results indicate that in most cases for a project, the risk adjusted NPV in partnership scenario is more than the other scenario. In addition to, partnership in projects which demand for industrial production facilities is preferable for the IPfund than projects calling for working capital.

Abstract

Nowadays, automakers have faced complexity of supply chain that have to improve procedures and processes in order to access high performance in both strategic and operational. The main purpose of this research is to evaluate model of strategic performance of supply chain (SPSC), which include information technology (IT), organizational learning (OL), and Product innovation (PRI) via qualitative research. In fact, this research follows how these factors effect on SPSC. IRANKHODRO Company (IKCO) as the biggest automaker in Middle East is our case study in order to research and evaluate mentioned model. A total number of 12 interviews were done based on a list of semi-structured open-ended questions in order to evaluate constructs and model. The development of constructs in IKCO according to respondents’ opinion was classified at three categories including high, medium and low levels. In high level, IT has been developed in IKCO more than another constructs, which consists of development of ORACLE system, SAP and KANBAN in order to cover information, procedures and processes across supply chain. While SPSC has been developed less than others.

Abstract

In this research a jobshop scheduling problem with an assembly stage is studied. The objective function is to find a schedule which minimizes completion time for all products. At first, a linear model is introduced to express the problem. Then, in order to confirm the accuracy of the model and to explore the efficiency of the algorithms, the model is solved by GAMS. Since the job shop scheduling problem with an assembly stage is considered as a NP-hard problem, a hybrid algorithm is used to solve the problem in medium to large sizes in reasonable amount of time. This algorithm is based on genetic algorithm and parallel variable neighborhood search. The results of the proposed algorithm are compared with the result of genetic algorithm. Computational results showed that for small problems, both HGAPVNS and GA have approximately the same performance. And in medium to large problems HGAPVNS outperforms GA.

Abstract

There is still a great deal of attention in cellular manufacturing systems and proposing capable metaheuristics to better solve these complicated optimization models. In this study, machines are considered unreliable that life span of them follows a Weibull distribution. The intra and inter-cell movements for both parts and machines are determined using batch sizes for transferring parts are related to the distance traveled through a rectilinear distance. The objectives minimize the total cost of parts relocations and maximize the processing routes reliability due to alternative process routing. To solve the proposed problem, Genetic Algorithm (GA) and two recent nature-inspired algorithms including Keshtel Algorithm (KA) and Red Deer Algorithm (RDA) are employed. In addition, the main innovation of this paper is to propose a novel hybrid metaheuristic algorithm based on the benefits of aforementioned algorithms. Some numerical instances are defined and solved by the proposed algorithms and also validated by the outputs of exact solver. A real case study is also utilized to validate the proposed solution and modeling algorithms. The results indicate that the proposed hybrid algorithm is more appropriate than the exact solver and outperforms the performance of individual ones.
