Iran University of Science and Technology with the cooperation of the Iranian Community of Chemical Engineering will hold the 3^rd National conference about the use of CFD in chemical industries in May 2011. It is worth mentioning that at the time of the conference, there would be a competition to select the best animation, which has been done by the use of CFD simulation.

 According to Jahad Daneshgahi publication Report- In the closing ceremonies of the 14^th festival of the student thesis of Engineering Departments, the jury selected the thesis of Mr.Abdol Hamid Salahi. as the best thesis in M.sc. level.

  The title of his thesis was "Experimental investigation of oily wastewater treatment in polymer basis membrane hybrid systems"

  It was supervised by Dr Touraj Mohammai.

  Majid Hayati Ashtiani (Ph.D. student of Chemical Engineering) will defend his Ph.D. thesis in khordad 30^th of 1389. The title of his thesis is "Study and Preparation of Pillard Activited Bentonit and Its Application for Remmoval of Heavy Metals"

  supervised by the late Dr.Seyed Hamid Jazayeri and Dr. Seyed Nezamo dinn Ashrafi Zadeh.

  Miss Maryam Haghigh (Ph.D. student of chemical Engineering) will defend her Ph.D. thesis in Shahrivar 6^th of 1389. The title of her thesis is"Local Thermal Non-Equilibrium Modelling and Simulation of Foam Heat Exchangers"

  supervised by Dr. Nourollah Kasiri .

  13^th national congress of chemical engineering and the first regional congress of chemical and petroleum engineering is going to be hold from 25-28 Oct 2010 in Kermanshah. Before the conference, the instructional workshops will be held.
