Department of Physical Training
The administration office of physical education was established in 1340 and along with the physical education group they are make up the universit's physical education division. The The physical training Group offers sport courses for IUST students. The courses include physical Training (I) aiming at physical fitness, and Physical Training (II) for the purpose of specialization in particular sports fields. both of with include theoretical as well as practical components. In order to encourage students and staff in sports,and to develop their physical competence, the Office of Extra Curriculum Activities provides programs in diverse sports fields and conduct sport communities such as the Dormitory Sports Community, The School Sports Community, and The Specialized Sport Community. The sports fields include football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, bodybuilding, chess, footsall, mountain climbing, rock climbing, badminton, archery, swimming, karate, handball, fencing, cycling, wrestling, skateboarding, and track and field athletics. sports areas include indoor and outdoor facilities and measure to more than 22000 square meters. These areas are comprised of four gymnasiums, an stadium and a tennis courst.
